Namaste,
It is with great pleasure that we present this program—India’s Far North, Ladakh, Punjab and Srinagar. Join us in exploring the remote Buddhist area of India. In “Little Tibet,” our small group will explore a mixture of historical, religious and natural sites, and catch a portion of the legendary Silk Road.
We’ve selected the best time of year to visit the majestic Himalayas. But first we’ll fly to Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh to see its ornate temples including the current home and office of the Dalai Lama in exile. We’ve scheduled our visit during his birthday celebration. See Amritsar in Punjab with its Golden Temple and learn of its Sikh history.
Then we fly to idyllic Srinagar. Float on Lake Dal where one’s entire life could be spent not touching land! Then we head east, getting used to the high altitudes as we journey by coach. From Leh we visit Hemis.
Traversing one of the world’s highest mountain passes, we reach the beautiful Nubra Valley and its villages where we camp overnight before returning to Leh and by flight to Delhi.
Please read and enjoy our brochure. Then, if you have any questions, please call us. We look forward to welcoming you to this very special tour and preparing you for this great adventure. The journey is limited to a small group of serious, but fun-loving, travelers.
Sincerely,
Gwen
